New headers - what to do with AIR!?
I want to purchase new headers for my 92 Camaro. I heard Hedman was decent; that's what I was going for. I looked at Summit Racing, and street shorties (which I wanted) were only 100 bucks!! Then I see that it doesn't work with the A.I.R. system...but the Hedman headers for 310 bucks do...and I'd rather save money, of course. Can I get the shorties? What do I do with the AIR system? Thanks!

The reason why the $100 headers don't work with A.I.R. Injection is because they don't have the air injection tubes. The $300 headers do, therefore they work with the air injection tubes. So basically you want to waste ~$200 by buying $300 headers and converting them to $100 headers?
Get the cheapies.

No no, what I meant was that the expensive headers are for AIR, but I wanted to know if I can use the cheaper ones that don't work with AIR because I don't care about emissions or anything...I just wanted to know what to do with the AIR injection if the headers aren't compatible.

you can take your whole Air system out, but if you have a visual check at inspection, your gonna have problems. Your gonna have to put all that stuff back on, and dependant on how in depth they go with the check, you might have to put the manifolds back on. IMO opinion the extra 200 bucks is worth never having to worry about it.

I've looked into those headers too and I read that you can't use the factory A/C bracket. And you have to modify the stock exhaust to retain the cat. If you don't care about emissions (I.E. aren't gonna get caught) then go for it. You can read all the footnotes on them at www.hedman.com .

I think it's too late, as everything was ordered and the only thing I'm waiting on is my MSD adjustable timing control unit and the headers. Oh well.
