Hedman Headers Anyone?
Hedman Headers Anyone?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone out there is running Hedman street headers with the Hedman y-pipe? They seem pretty affordable $99 for the headers and $99 for the y-pipe. Are they easy to install and do they bolt straight up to the cat with the hedman y-pipe or is there a little modification to be done? How about performance?

Yep....headers #68470 and y-pipe #17470. Decent stuff for the money, although the life expectancy will be greatly increased if they get coated (and so will the cost...go figure...) Easy to install - just read and follow the instructions; it may take some finagling to get the driver side y-pipe collector lined up properly - take your time with it the first time and get it right. Dunno for sure about the cat lining up
(what cat??). Good performance increase of around 20 hp to boot.

Hey Tas, which hooker headers are you talking about for $150? The only ones I can find for that price have no y-pipe.

The Hedmans are 1 5/8" outside diameter, then into a 3" collector; the y-pipe necks down to about 2" just past each collector and then becomes 2 1/2" where they join.
