Headers with AIR, for dual cats
Headers with AIR, for dual cats
other then edelbrock and SLP, are there anyothers that make them? shorty style? hooker has headers with AIR, but the y pipe wont work with dual cats, so right now i see my only choice is to get a custom fabbed y pipe, for this type of setup, can anyone help?

That covers all the sources of which I'm aware.
If you took the Hooker 2055 y-pipe, cut off the 3" collector, and routed individual pipes to the cats, that should work. I imagine it could get expensive, though, especially if mandrel bent piping was used. Might end up costing as much as SLP's (certainly more than TES).

I myself would go with the SLP ones.......they make very good perforrmance stuff for our cars.......and to think GM picked SLP to do work on certain model F-bodies....thats got to say something for them right.......my $.02 worth.............
i was gonna go with slp headers until i found out how much they would be, 860CAD, and i dont really want to spend that much right now, i was hoping there was an alternative, cause i really wanted to have new headers before summer, but i guess i will just wait, oh, i was qouted for a full exhaust for 1720 CAD, with slp headers with AIR, two random tech hi flows, and flowmaster american thunder, i was gonna go witht hat, but have changed my mind seeing that i wrecked my car in November and the money had to go into the car, so yeah, alright thanks for your input guys

I have a 91 with a 5.7 TPI dual cats and the american thunder system, I just bought the TES headers because I know a guy who put them on and they fit well. I also live in canada so I know how crazy the pricing can be on SLP parts!!! I got my headers for $580 canadian.

Yes, the chrome plated headers look nice but how much do they improve performance? I have heard ceramic headers insulate the headers and give you a cooler engine compartment and More power but has any one seen these around , with AIR and for dual cats?

I'm just going to get a set of the TES headers...for the dual cat setup...and have them coated...the best way to go....they will last for almost ever.....
