i'm ordering an electric exhaust cut out from a place that was advertised in the latest issue of car car craft i have 2.5 " dynomax exaust with a high flow cat, my question is where is the best place to put this in front or in back of the cat, i want the loudest sound without screwing up any computer or egr crap.

 

For performance place it BEFORE your cat.

For sound place it after your cat.

It won't throw any codes. Don't even see how it could?

 

I have my cut out in the 3 inch intermediate pipe....almost directly under the passenger seat. I'm going to instll my electronic cut out too....its going to be bad!

 

For emissions purposes, install it behind the cat.

Someone I know has it there, and his car is stock. It sounds very nice.

If you put it after your cat you're basically wasting your time unless all you want is a loud car...
