The best coating right now is Jet-Hot, I think. You should be able to get headers w/o the AIR stuff from a few different companies. Check out their webpages or give them a call to find out if they make something for your application. That would probably be best.

What are some common prices for jet-hot and other "third party" coaters?

jet hot is expensive probably like $250, I have seen some places for as low as $150 for shorty headers (no y-pipe)

Actually Jet-Hot is about the same price. Here is the quote and final price I recieved from Chris Morris at Jet-Hot.

"I assume the parts are bare or just painted. The price to coat the shorty type headers in&out with the sterling silver finish is $179+$s&h back. The Y
pipe would run $10 per ft."

"All parts receive a 3year unlimited guarantee that covers chipping, peeling,
cracking, discoloration, rusting - anything. New parts also get a lifetime rust through warranty as well."

The final price for both the headers and y-pipe to be coated inside and out plus the shipping and handling by ground back to me was $279. That isn't too bad considering the warranty and who the company is (if you ask me). And you are going to have to have a y-pipe for shorty headers, so I'm sure that they would be very comperable. Jet-Hot was only $20 more for the headers alone.

I had HPC in Oklahoma City coat my 1 3/4 SLPs and also my accessory brackets. They did a heck of a job. To do the headers inside and out, they want $185. For the two accessory brackets and the cruise control bracket, they wanted $85.
