Dynomax Bullets or Moroso Sprial Flow?

I am putting together a true dual exhaust system for my 86 Camaro LG4. It will start with hedmen headers than go through 2.5" pipes to a X pipe than over the axle, both on the passengers side, to the mufflers and of course after that out the back. My question is, with this system would you suggest the Dynomax Bullets or would those be just to loud to drive with on a regular basis? If that is the case do you think the Moroso Sprial Flow mufflers would be any better? I have read all of the info on the company websites, Jegs, Summit etc. and I know they are both very loud, so I'm really looking for someone who has some real life experience with either of them.
Thanks Alot

You can't really call the bullets mufflers since they don't muffle much. I think they would be a bit loud on a daily driver. Of course it depends on what you think is loud (I have dual 3" aerochambers on mine and don't think it's all that loud). I haven't heard the moroso's, but the few people that have them seem to like them, they say they're very deep and rumbly.

My friend has Dynomax Bullets on his 350 powered 71 Pickup...His truck is 2 1/2 inch with headers. The exhaust is really not very loud at all until you stomp it. When hes running WOT you can hear him a lil ways away. OMG it sounds so good, Yet next to him at idle its barly louder then a flowmaster (yuck)

I have dual 2.5 inch with h pipe and bullets. If I am lucky I will be able to start it up today or tomorrow to find out how loud it is.

i'd like to know how loud you're are momar when you get a chance...i don't need the neighbors calling the cops on me when i had straight pipes

I think that the bullets should quiet me down enough though from what i have heard.

Thanks for the replies, I think I might go with the moroso's because they will probably be more resonable to drive with on an everyday basis...but I am still open to discussion. Momar, please post and tell us how loud it is when you get it started I would also like to know.

I started it today. I am having a problem with the timing and glowing header tubes so I didnt get to run it long, but it really wasnt near as loud as I expected. I havent got to drive it. Most of what I have heard of it was around 2000 rpm breaking in the cam, but let it idle for a couple seconds and at least for me it will definately be barable. I dont think it is a ton louder than a flowmaster catback would be but I havent got to run it enough to really know for sure.

I dont have the drivers side mounted quite up as high as the passenger in the rear to avoid the brake and fuel lines until I can make a heat shield for them. The pictures suck but so does my camera. I guess thats life.

It can, but it can also mean your timing is off which is what I am having problems with right now. I have a thread about it going. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...postid=1138139

Thanks Alot for posting that info Momar, I had a feeling that it wouldn't be as loud as people said it was. Did you find that because of the turn downs after the mufflers that alot of noise resonates in to the car?

I really couldnt tell you about inside noise yet because I havnt driven it. Not only that but when we had it running my brother was in it and I was under the hood setting timing and such. If I can get this problem I am having figured out soon and it isnt too major I hope to be able to tell you that in the near future.

man,

cherry bombs belong in the 60s they should have died there.

Momar,
yea I forgot to mention the timing issue to if it's retarted to much. As soon as you get this baby driving let me know how it's sounding noise and tone wise...

its an LT1 with stock heads, headers and what im pretty sure is a dynomax bullet, not positive though... search their boards and im sure you might be able to find out...

i do know it has a comp 306 cam (230/244 on a 112 lobe), sounds pretty mean to me... hehe

ok there are two forms of cherry bombs

louvored and drilled core

the louver ones can die

THEY SUCK GNATS A<x>SS

then you have the drilled core ones
that is for the most part all a bullet muffler is
and what I plan on putting on my car soon

just a straight through muffler
