i have a 91 z28 w/305 auto,i installed slp's 1 3/4 header and y pipe and the car sounds like *** ! i have all 3in pipe run to a 50 series flowmaster"the car has no cat or air pump" it makes a loud poping sound when you get on it. it sounds like a v6 with no muflers. i had a 80 series flowmaster on it but it was worse so i called flowmaster and they recomended the 50. can someone help?

 

You should have bought the SLP 3" Cat back, sounds great.

 

if youre not worried about emissions...why not run true duals with dumps in front of the rear axle? ive got dual 3" flowmaster on my car and it doesnt cackle at all. I guarantee the reason it pops and cackles is the fact that you still have tailpipes.
