what can i put in place to plug the hole......

of the air polution crap that is bolted on the header? i seem not to figure it out, also would i c a power gain? its a 83 z with a 305 stock headers.

Take it out and bring it to the hardware store to match it up to a brass plug. No, you won't see a difference.

cut the stock fittings off of the check valve and bend the little pipes over and crimp them
