what a bi**h the pass. side was . took off shorties and installed ceramic hooker long tubes. drivers side removed the clutch linkage and raised the engine an 1" or 2 and they sliped rite in . pass side had to clearance at the crossmember and the rear lower arm mount . no exhaust yet . but boy do they sound GOOD! open with the cam thats in it .

so im guessin its a bit harder to install them on a manule car then an auto? i got the long tubes and an auto and some people have problems, some dont.

 

actually the clutch linkage was easy it was the passenager side that s***ed

Can you tell me the part number of those headers?
I'd like to check out some long tubes but, I haven't
seen any ads for the 82's with a Z bar clutch linkage.

 

hooker 2210-1 the -1 is for the coated ones.

I assume it was the back 2 bolt on the passenger side that were giving you are a hard time?
