stock exhaust pipe size?? and would i see gains if i just put a hi-po muffler on it?

i gotta 84 ta with the L69 305HO

i heard i had 3" exhaust but i wasnt sure

and if so would i b able to just put a flowmaster or a hooker muffler on there and see good gains or is it the tubes and all that make those setups so good?

not sure how much gains..it'll give your car a nice sound .. I don't know about 3in pipes but maybe just go under there and see for yourself
