how do i get exhaust pipe off thats been clamped??

how do i get exhaust pipe off thats been clamped??

Ok about a week ago i temporarily clamped a peice of pipe coming out of the muffler, now today i am trying to get it off, but the clamp bent the metal so its not coming off, any tips?

cut the flange in a horizontal manner then pry the one side back and it will come right off.

FIRE! i dont know i would use a little torch to see if it loosens it up. when i was getting off my cat i had to hook it up to a rope to another car and pulled with the other car a little and hit it the rest out because the clams were too tight

I used a dremel and just cut the flanges, but a tourch will work too if you have one.

pen torch and a hammer!!!! i got it off, but i made an interesting discovery regarding wut pipes and tips do to sound.

fire and hammer: the brute force method. always works, though. i've got an acetylene torch...makes that pipe glow red hot. You can then do whatever you want to the pipe. heh...interesting in tight spaces, such as under a f-body though....
