Man the hooker catback made my TA sound flat out scary and gave me more power (it made Me shed a tear lol). It really sounds mean at idle, and when u get on the fun pedle it freakin YELLS! but i just wanted to ask some of u guys who has the catback does it get even better than that over time.

I LOVE IT !

Man is about two months old, and id say it is AT LEAST twice as loud compared to when i first got it put on. At first, i could barely hear it when i was in the car..... now it really roars.

I was thinking about getting the hooker cat-back, but do those tips rust? (don't really have to worry about that out here though)

I haven't saw any signs of rust yet, but just to be on the safe side I clean the inside of the tips with a little WD 40, and put a little grease on the out side of them.

Gives them a nice shine too

Odd. Most people say they've seen rust after a month already. I've had my Dynomax cat back on for about 4 months now and the pipes are all still in prime condition, with NO rust. And I live in NJ, and the car sees rain fairly frequently.

I put a coat of wax on the tailpipes to help prevent rust, but that was 3 weeks ago and at college I don't drive it as much and haven't washed the car or put more wax on the pipes and they have started to rust a little especially in between. Hopefully it's not too late and I can get rid of that stuff.

My hooker cat-back was really quiet but after a month or so it got really loud. My tips and I-pipe are brand new looking but the tail-pipes completely rusted in about a week. I'm pretty sure they didn't send me the right tailpipes because they didnt fit on the stock hangers

Hmmm.......

Well, it must depend on what type of muffler you get in your Hooker system.

The "Aerochamber" muffler, available in some catback systems, will never change sound or get louder, because there is no wool/fiberglass/ceramic or any kind of "packing" material in there to blow out, thus making the muffler get louder.

My Aerochamber has been on for quite a while and it has not gotten louder at all, compared to when it was new.
