Did I screw up?

Hi All,
I put a engine out of a 91 TPI 305 into my 88 Camaro that had a 305 TBI. I used the exhaust manifolds off of the 91 and the 88 y pipe, converter, muffler, etc. Are the flange size different between the 88TBI RS and a 91 Z28 TPI? I cant get rid of the exhaust leak were the Y pipes bolt to the exh. manifolds??? Anybody else run into this or hear of anything like this before?
Thanks!
Chris

yes. But don't feel bad The z28s have bigger exaust all around that's why you have a leak. They weren't meant to go together. Can you put the ole Z28 exaust on your car? If you find the part of the Z28 y pipe to connect to your TBI Y pipe a muffler shop should be able to fix it. Better to look for the whole y pipe. You're really choking that 305 TPI with the TBI exaust. It already chokes the 305 TBI so the HP comes in well below the 305 TPI

well, you could do what i do..use this little probelm as a perfect excuse to get some nice new headers.

but if you arent as impulsive as i am look for a y-pipe that will fit.

Chris, If you didn't live so far away, you could get mine off my 91. But such is life, and I can't drive to KY.
