I purchased my car with a 400 sb with headers already on it. I am curious if there is any way i could identify them. Are there any designs specific to major brands that could let me know what they are? Thanks.

 

Measure the diameter of the tubes just after the come out of the head. Let us know.

How long are the tubes that come out of the head - around a foot, or do they collect under the floor pan?

How is the rest of the exhaust connected to the headers? Does a pipe come from each side, then come together, or do they stay separate?

Are there any tags welded on to the headers anywhere? Any numbers stamped in the flanges by the heads?

Any other tubes attached to the headers? Is there an oxygen sensor in the driver's side header?

Can you post pictures?
