New sound with headers?

after i got in my SLP's i noticed that theirs a sound up by the engine that is more noticable now. I thought that it mite be a leak, but when i have my friend rev er up, i cannot hear it up by the engine. It only seems to be when im in the car and driving. almost a ticking noise, and no its not the injector ticking. its like something else....anyone else seem to notice something like this? or am i crazy?

I have not yet put my headers on my firebird, however, on my nova I noticed the same thing. I believe that it is do to the fact that there is no longer cast iron absorbing the exhaust pulse noise. In comparison the headers are thin and you will notice more "noise".

So yes I have noticed what you have mentioned and I don't think that it is unusual, however, just my experience...

It's the valves you're hearing. The headers are thinner and you can hear the engine working now.
