since lowering the car a few weeks ago, I've had a couple problems with my setup. currentl, I have headers, a y-pipe, 3"dynomax where the cat was and straight 3" out the back to dual tips. The muffler is kissing speedbumps, driveway humps and everything else.

New idea is to put a straight pipe where the dynomax is, and put a set of 3" dnomax round bullets and quad resonator tips behind the axle, raising it about 1" into the rear valence. Any ideas on how it would sound? Anyone have a setup like this? I think it would eliminate my clearance prblems...

 

any pics? I don't quite understand. If you're gonna put a muffler where the cat is why don't you just put a cat there? Clean the air and it acts like a muffler anyway.

The cat's already gone and the dynomax muffler is where the cat used to live. I'm not interested in adding a cat to my system, I was interested in how this system with race bullets and resontor tips would work out.

I'm assuming it would be as loud as it is now, maybe a touch louder.

 

You could run about a 25" long glasspack or bullet along the driveshaft tunnle and the send the rest of the exhaust over the axle and the whatever. Should give decent clearance.

 

How loud is a 25" glasspack? I want a similar, slim setup, but without the ear popping....and I want to exit on the side.
