Flowmaster/cherry bomb combo...
MY flowmaster 80 series is just too loud for my liking....
I love the sound ..but.. its just getting me in trouble.. and draws attention... I have a very healthy cam....and its loud...Now i was wondering.. should i try to cut off my tail pipes and replace them both with a set of cherry bombs??? one on each side.. ???? i just looooooooove that mellow...sound.. with a nice cam...just purring away.....not so loud that you cant hear over it...
Maybe there is a whole new muffler i could put in there???
any idease /sound clips???
Rob
The loud exhaust has gotten old........
Thanx guys

i would suggest using only 1 muffler. flowmaster makes quieter mufflers, however it would be more difficult to have 2 tailpipes exiting out each side of the rear. i use the flowmaster 30 series muffler, and it sounds great and isnt too loud. there are plenty of options out there.

I have a vortex catback that is made by cherry bomb. The inside of the mufffler kinda looks like this
*/ | /**
*/ /**
*| |**
lol.. that was terrible.. well I'm just trying to say they are pretty wide open with open passage. They have a lower pitch rumble and not so high like flowmasters. I like them alot! Of course I dont mind loud but... my stock 305 isnt all that loud. New cam should fix that a bit lol

just a though...I would go with maybe a borla muffler....they have a nice growl at idle....and when you get on i...it sounds great. It's not as loud as a flowmaster....but....has a good nice tone....not loud inside the car much at all. One of my friends has a borla on his Camaro (1991 Z28 1LE 5.7 TPI) it sounds great, nice quality tone, just not as loud as flowmaster....again..it's just a thought...I'm sure there are plenty of brands you could go with.....

I have a Edelbrock #5109 and it sounds pretty nice, not too much internal noise so you can still have a bit of conversation on accelerating. I am swapping it out though for a 80 series Flowmaster, the Edelbrock has a very clean sound though.
