What Kind Of Headers?
What kind of Headers would be good for my 92 Firebird, 305 tbi? I've seen many with Eddlebrock TES Headers, and some with SLP headers, but SLP is expensive! How good are the HOOKER HEaders? How about Hedman? Do you all reccommend them? I know the coated ones are the best, but i don't have that kinda cash, so i'm gonna stick with the original, noncoated ones? Are they still a good buy?.....thanx for any info!

I didn't consider the TES because of the negative comments I've seen here. The Hedmans caught my eye, but didn't keep it. I didn't consider SLP because of the cost, since I'm not building a barn burner.
I went with the Hooker 2055's, but I wouldn't call them "perfect". I posted a reason earlier ("Tips for improving Hooker 2055's"). Instead of coating, I went with the DEI high-temp aluminum paint from Summit, added about $20 to the cost. A bud here used it on his manifolds three years ago, looks like it was just done last week. I would also recommend shorty plugs for boot-to-tube clearance. I don't look forward to changing the plugs, either (put the plugs in after the headers were installed while the engine was on the stand).
