I know this may seem sacreligous to some of you but can a mustang h- pipe or x pipe setup be used to make a true dual exhaust for our cars

u could possibly cut it up into a bunch of peices and maybe makes something out of it but it would make more sense to make one cause the x-pipes wont fit at all

Just get a universal x-pipe. Dr. Gas, www.drgas.com (I think) makes them. You can either get just the actual x or the x and the pipes at each end of it. Magnaflow also makes them, but the Dr. Gas design looks a lot better to me, plus look at all the professional racers or race classes that use them (I can't remember which it is).

Also, mac makes sort of an x-pipe substitute. It's basically a hollow box with two inlets on one side and two outlets on the other side. They claim it's good.

I forgot. Do a search on google for "magnaflow mufflers" and for "mac performance". Oh, camaroman85 had a great idea! instead of an x-pipe, use a large dual inlet, dual outlet cat for a crossover--you kill two birds with one stone: extra performance plus it's legal!

I would so do this if I didn't already have my exhaust.

I'm the one who explained why it would be a good idea.

Seriously, I've always wondered why nobody has thought of it. I was gonna have my local shop do that on mine. I thought I was gonna be one of the few to think of it. Dang nabbit!!!!! Now the whole country knows!!!!!! My secret is out!!
