I have an 88GTA 5.7 tuned port...I was thinking about putting Edelbrock TES headers on it...but they have the emissions hook up. Would it be possibe to just run shorty headers and take all the emissions stuff off...how would this affect my performance?

 

You won't be able to remove "all" of the emissions equipment, because the TPI needs the feedback provided by the O2 sensor. You can take the A.I.R. tubes off the primaries and converter, but the performance improvement will be right at zero vs leaving it on.
