help is on the way

I dyno'd at 45 HP increase with headers/y-pipe/cat/cat-back... with 145k stock 305... HEADERS are your choice... you WILL pay more if you wanna remain street legal.. (or get someone to weld air vents on the "illegal" one's) those range from 25 (on e-bay, or junk yard) to $ 400 new... Y-PIPE is almost universal.. about $110 from anyone (heddman/hooker/edelbrock is a little more) you want about 2 inch inlets (they bolt RIGHT UP to any 82-92 camaro headers (regardless of make) YOU MUST USE A HIGH-FLOW cat or everything else you JUST did won't do crap.. cat-back is also up to you.. 3" should be standard I got a hooker stainless cat-back for $7 at the junk yard (about $200- 300 new) MUFFLERS also help.. depending on desired sound.. I use FLOW MASTER 3" dual exit.. GOOD LUCK .. by the way.. you'll LOVE the new rumble you make

I forgot

1 5/8" WILL DO YOU FINE.. you will also need to weld in a bolt for the O2 sensor (it works best if you do this in the header collector on the drivers side )... PLEASE check E-BAY.. Some guy just had an ENTIRE performance exhaust (82-92) for like $100 less shipping... AGAIN... GO WITH THE FLOW.. you won't believe how much of a difference this will make

Hooker doesn't sell their y-pipe separately. Unfortunate, since it seems to be the best piece out there (the expensive SLP one possible exception). One guy on the board called them and found out Hooker will make an extra pipe in their next run if you send them $150 first - next run could be 6-8 weeks, and it only fits the 2055's (not the non-A.I.R. 2460's). Since you can't get the 2055 headers-only, the non-availability of its y-pipe isn't too big a deal.

I doubt you would see 45 HP increase if you keep the stock single-snorkel air cleaner. Time to come clean, txhotRS - was that with the stock air cleaner?

If it was a '98 or newer GS it could have had the supercharger.

260HP!!!!!

I drove one and was like "DAMN!!"

It's definetly motivation to get the Camaro going faster.
