Keep on blowing header gaskets >=(

As it says I keep on blowing a header gasket on my passenger side of the car. Ive tried paper gaskets and they blow right away, Ive tried copper but those dont seem to do the job at all. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to stop this from happening, its driving me nuts my car sounds so good, but that leak is anoying the hell out of me when I keep hearing it!

Since I've gone to Percy's gaskets I've had no problem at all..
They have them at summit. They are a little pricie at 35 bucks but they work... The advertise them like this...

Percy's Seal-4-Good gaskets. Made from "dead soft" aluminum, the Seal-4-Good gaskets are blowproof and reusable.

Worth a try

I agree with 90Formula, Percys dead soft aluminum gaskets are the best out there and even though my header bolts have loosened themselves up a few times the gaskets are still perfect, you should definetely pick up a set.

I solved my leaky flanges with Earl's aluminum with replacable graphite inserts.

Just use some hi-temp silicone to seal it up. Go get the copper stuff, it works great for me.

All good ideas - also, if you don't have them, you might consider some Stage 8 locking header bolts. Also not cheap at around $40, but it might help. Good luck.

I second that, I just installed the 45.00cnd fel pro gaskets and they work great.
BUT..
If you are blowing them that quickly, I know for sure there is a 1 inch thick "crushable" almin. copper core gasket... great for headers with a slight warp. That might be the way to go, but I know they are kinda pricey, they were about 75.00cnd..

Well, I have a different approach, before I installed my headers I shaved the lip of of the inside of all the tubes (the part that goes against the heads )... to make it perfectly flat... then I use regular copper header gaskets... AND LOCK NUTS.. I haven't EVER had a leak, and I've had headers for over 2 years ( I did replace the gasket about 9 months ago, JUST IN GOOD FAITH)
Good Luck

When you install the gaskets dont tighten the bolts all the way up.
Cruise around for a bit and get your exhaust nice and hot.
Then tighten them up good.
Might want to try that, thats what I did and it worked well
