Problems After Header Install
We just installed some edelbrock tes headers on my 85 tpi camaro ever since we put them on the car has lost power. i know because i had it for 5 years. u stomp it sometime it has no power untill 3500-4000, sometimes its all good, power all the way up.
and also i used the stock converter i was thinking that chould be toast hoggin all the power?
also i have a leak every 1 tells me the last bolt on the passenger side (the hardest one people say ) and i made sure it was tight and i still hear exuast
its like i put headers on to gain some power not to lose some ?
im really mad any 1 can help

make sure everything that you disconnected is plugged back in. i have the same headers and i remember i started up the car and the brake pedal was very hard and it idled at high RPMs. all it took was to plug the brake booster vacuum line back on and it solved both problems.

hey.... check the cat... that ususally boggs the car AFTER you put on headers... all the air has no where to go and since it's rushing a lot faster and a lot more... it'll slow the car when all the air gets to the cat.... also ... check the gaskets
