Huge problem (kinda long) HELP!
Well, my converter(melted inside) and muffler(hole threw it) are shot. The car has shorty headers on it, but im not sure the brand. The guy i bougth the car off of has a deeper oil pan and listen to this a 2" press bent y-pipe(talk about restrictive). Well i took it to the local shop and they said i cant go any bigger then a 2.25" y-pipe and even that is gonna be touching the oil pan. Now i dont have any ideas on what to do. he siad i could run 3" duals from the shoties with some custom work(press bent). I have275s in the back so im a little better on ground clearance but still. Also the mufflers would be in the middle of the car so theres no room for cats. And i dont know when my emissons will be coming. I also ahve a chance at a pair of slp headers, slp y-pipe and 3" flowmaster american thunder for 400 bucks (which is all i have)But then i gotta get the engine pulled and the oil panned change which is prolly gonna be alot. Please guys set-ups or any kinda help woud be awesome

First off you don't have to pull the engine to change the oil pan. The engine just needs to be lifted up in the front 2-3 inches. I'd get the SLP stuff & change the oil pan.

OK, after re-reading your initial post, it doesn't sound like the SLP y-pipe will fit with the current pan. My SLP y-pipe probably has 1/2" clearance at the pan. But like Ricktpi said, you shouldn't have to pull the engine to change the pan. And a salvage yard pan and pump pickup shouldn't cost you that much.

Then sell the deep pan & recoup some of your money.
