Who's running 3" I-pipe with no muffler?
My search on this topic didn't get the results I was looking for, so...OK, for a long time now I've planned to use a Hooker catback on my car when I've got $200 burning a hole in my pocket. However, after hearing my car with my SLPs running thru a 3" cat and into the stock catback minus the muffler, I'm starting to think of other options. I've noticed some people asking about buying just the 3" I-pipe. Is anyone here running this I-pipe with just tailpipes and tips? How about using a Flowmaster Y-collector turned around right after the convertor, and then dual 2-1/4 or 2-1/2" pipes? Or am I just a low-tech troll?
Ehh, don't answer that...
Thanks for any response.:hail:

Thanks for any response.:hail: really loud
im not runnin a 3" I pipe w/ no muffler but i have heard my car with all the exhaust off after the cat and it was pretty loud. i say go for it......if you dont like it you can always buy a muffler. but if you dont already have 3" something going to the back...it really opened up my camaro after i put 3" flowmasters all the way back. hope that helps! good luck with it!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my car will wake up some more when I get rid of the 2-1/4" pinch-bent I-pipe. And you're right, I figured if I don't like it, I'll just get a muffler. Sometimes I have to do things the hard way.
Thanks.
Thanks. Thread
