Is this to *****!!!!

My friend wants me to put a dual flame kit on my dual exhaust to make fire shooot out the dual pipe do you think its to ***** or its all good.

do it just make sure you have money to buy new bumper covers and for paint becuz you will not be lucky enuff to keep from melting them.

that pic is from work, a fellow emplyee has that chopped nova and a ford that also blows flames. both cars shoot about 60ft flames that reach about 35-40ft in the air.

I've seen it a couple of times, but never saw a kit or anything for it. As far as I know its a fuel line and a spark plug in the pipe.

Yea, there are kits and then there is do it yourself which can be a little dangerious. Fire coming out of the exhaust is more domestic, and when i saw it on F&F my jaw dropped to the floor. I say do it, it would look sweet, but make sure your car can live up to its fire throwing exhaust with a fire breathing engine!!

what if i do it on turndown tips with like <1 foot flames. does that hurt the bumper?

sorry to dampen the spirits around here, but, yes, there are kits to make your car into a fire-breating dragon, but that are not compatible with cars that have cats on them...so if that isn't a concern, then do it, take, and post some picks!

because a cat is designed to burn all the unburnt fuel in the exasut, to help with polution

the idea behind shooting flames is to ingnite that extra fuel in the exaust as it exits the exaust pipes, cause the flame. if all the fuel is burnt at the cat, there is nothing to ingnite at the tail pipe.

no it doesn't start before the cat

the problem is for fire you need 3 things, FUEL, Air, and something to ingite it.

so to shoot flames you need 1) unburnt gas in the exaust 2) air (you have plenty of that outside) and 3) spark of some sort, that is what the kit gives you.

the problem is, the cats purpose is to reduce hydrocarbon polotion in the exaust (hydrocarbons = GAS) so what they do is basicly burn the gas as it passes through. after the cat, you have little or non unburt gas in the exaust. so you have NO fuel for the flames. since you don't have item #1 listed above, you cannot have a flame.

it would be yes, but do you really want to have an extra fuel running right next to your exaust? peronaly i wouldn't.

also how are you to control the amount of fuel to spray, and how are you going to spray it?

how did they do it on monster garage with the mustang didnt they use,a can of burns o matic.Also a spark plug and a battery.

heres the set up on the same car. theres a fuel line from 2 tanks of compressed gas and i think one tank of colmen fuel also, then the spark plugs. theres no cats but its not hooked up to where it will work with cats or no cats.

Most flame thrower kits kill spark to the motor so raw fuel dumps down through the motor...Then you have a coil with a wire at each exhaust tip. The switch sparks the coil and burns the gas that comes out....If you want to see how get somone to find a copy of the TV show trucks where they did it on a old truck...Oh yeah...Cant have cats!

Talk about the hard way.. If you have a carb motor.. make it run a little rich and hook a spark plug up in the pipe near the tip..

i have always thought, you could use a no2 solenoid to dump fuel in when you had the "flame" button pushed, that way, you didnt have to drive around with a pig rich tune.

There are kits available now that use propane. The bad thing about the old school way of doing it is that you can wash the cylinders with gasoline and end up with it in your oil. Either or, it's your choice... just make sure you have a new bumper cover laying around for every other time you decide to light it off.

the easy way is carb engine use your chock to rich it out spark plug with tago pull chock wait till lean then just flip the switch dada flames
