what mods if any to put truck headers in 92 3rd gen?

I got the tools to do whatever I need to, but what do I need to do to put 72 headman truck headers on my 92 camaro???Im to broke at the moment to buy 3rd gen headers cause I just put a pair on my other 3rd gen, but I have a brand new set for my 72 gmc truck that I cant use at the moment because I robbed the tranny out of it to put in my 92 camaro which worked out nicely

Sell the truck headers & buy the right ones. Other than that a massive amount of cutting, fitting & welding.

Not impossible, but definitely not worth the time & trouble. If you have never built a weld together header, I wouldn't reccomend it, useless you have a lot of patience & time on your hands, not to mention the possibilty of having in the end a piece of scrap metal you cant use.

Well if you want a Suave answer. It is possible they could work. I fited my 76 PU manifolds into the firebird just to see and guess what? With a custom y pipe they would have worked! Now remebering how I put the headers in the truck originally they almost slide right into position except I had to take the spark plugs out. Funny because the BB headers were a PITA to install and involved raising the engine. Ifyou got the spare time try it, cant hurt much although the truck headers are a bit longer from the flange to collector.

The truck header will most likely just go in w/o any problems. '72 truck headers (long tube, blackjack) hug the engine closer than fbody headers and also sweep back towards the firewall better to clear the engine mount braces, engine x-member and lower control arm. I can tell you that fbody shorties however, do not fit a 72 truck worth a damm. They hit the motor mount brace on on the drivers side and the frame on the other.
