another vote for hedmans, half the price of hookers and you dont need 1 3/4 for a 305

Agreed, but long tubes and best fitment dont really belong in the same sentence.

i found the hedmans 119 for the pair! thats sweet, they have 3" collectors tho, would it be ok to use 3" pipe for a y pipe or would i be better off with 2.5?

They come with 2.5" reducers and i'd suggest running dual 2.25, 2.5 might be overkill for a 305. From jet hot i was quoted $385 shipped to me or you can also get the hedman coating for $303 from jegs. Heres some pics of mine:

im not running dual exhaust, gonna run the long tubes into down tubes that go along the tranny tunnel, then the drivers side will cross over, thatll be the Y, then theyll go into a single 3" intermediate pipe, hooker cross flow muffler and dual 2.5" tails. just wanna know if having 3" down tubes is gonna hurt me at all?

like previously said, get some 2.5 inch reducers and run 2.5 inch pipes into the 3 inch single pipe.
