converting dual cats to a single catalytic converter
I'm planning to convert my dual cat to a single cat. I have edelbrock header part # 6876, for dual cat camaros. Will the y-pipe from header part #6872 3" slip fit cat, fit on the dual cat header; and yes I will change the I-pipe.
I've been running 13.8 in the 1/4 for a while, but I've been recently burnning the catalytic converters out. My friends and I can't find the problem. I need something to hold me over untill an engine swap in the future. I going through a catalytic converter every 7 months.

Check your A.I.R pump, mine did that and turned out to be a faulty diverter valve.....are the cats clogging? Check 02 sensor, leaky fuel injectors. Also....bad valve seals will clog one in a hurry.....Id check all that stuff first....good luck
