hey guys I have the edelbrock TBI headers on my car and the y-pipe comes out 2 1/4, now my freind has a y-pipe for tpi headers and his comes out 3in. now is the y-pipe the only difference on these or are his headers actually bigger to??

 

I believe the y pipe is the only difference. The way the air tubes face on the headers themselves may be different too.

 

are the 2 pipes on the y-pipe the same size as the tpi ones and the outlet were it goes to the cat the only diff in size? cause i can probably get that cut an welded

 

i got TPI headers for the 3inch y-pipe and the AIR tubes were the same as the tubes on the 87 carbureted exhaust manifolds
