Loud and no additions

Why don't you all just take a torch and cut of the cat, and the mufler. Just run 2 pipes of the headers and take em to the side. Run them all the way under the doors and weld em up. Hec nothing beats it. and the best part you buy nothing but a welder.

Yea that does sound awesome, but some people may prefer a quieter setup or have legality problems.

Ya, open headers/manifolds are loud, try driving by a cop with open headers.... I take my cutouts off every once in a while, but only if I'm going out cruising in the country, I don't dare have them off in town though...

cuttin exhaust

cuttin it off is one of the worst things for your engine unless you want to keep rebuilding it. w/o the pipes and muffler there is less backpressure and eventually it will burn out your valves and do other costly engine damage, ask any mechanic

there might be some mad backpressure drama goin down soon

as to the open headers with tubes, yes would be awesome, yes ive done that...... because my muffler fell off

as for warping valves with open headers, no, it will not happen, and i have yet to ever see it happen...... but no headers at all well then i could see a valve warping, still unlikely but possible

1. Open exhaust on 90% of cars sounds like total -ss.
2. Even the cheap of cheap flux core welders start around $200 and, it really does require some skill to weld (good).

Backpressure, believe what you will. The argument doesn't need to start about that.

Do a search for "exhaust backpressure" and you will get plenty of results. You can form your own opinion from there, just keep in mind that most older, experienced members know their stuff.
