Low Y pipe and converter???????

Transmission: 5-speed Rear:3.73
Low Y pipe and converter???????

I have shorty Hooker headers with a Y pipe, and the Y pipe by the fender and where it hooks to the converter is so damn low
.....what can I do? any suggestions would be appriciated!!
This is my second Camaro with the same problem....and the other Camaro I used Edelbrock headers .....

what kind of hooker headers? Is it a custom y pipe or did it come with the headers?

I can look for the numbers on the tag....but yeah the Y came with the headers,Its pissing me off,them and edelbrocks design is both off,they are way to close to the ground, like the camaro isnt close enough already lol

I would look at your motor mounts being the problem.

how do you meen the motor mounts?
I meen its like 3" from touching the ground....its not close to any body parts,let me know what you meen thanks,
and I cant see any #'s
but the tag says HOOKER it may be there but the tag is $hit covered by surface rust...

seeing as how you say you have had the same problem with 2 completely different headers I would not blame the headers. You need to replace your motor mounts and that may raise the engine back up to where it should be so the y pipe will not be so low.
