In the bottom left hand corner on page 6, it says the flames are real, and he has the scorched exhaust to prove it. So both the flames and the exhaust are real

It says he's got plugs powered by an MSD 6A for that. Local guy here with a 64(?) Impala did the same thing. Its fun to watch. I haven't seen it for about 2 years though... Originally posted by neubauej

Whats up with the 4" wide tires? Those look terrible. They seem to fit the wheel well good, so I don't think the rears been narrowed, but that just looks wrong!

I felt just the opposite. They show a thirdgen on the cover on the dyno. They have a huge dyno feature. No thirdgen present in the article! Originally posted by Eric_7810

That is Tim Moores car (CHP editor), an 87 Z28 hardtop painted hugger orange. Its got a carbed 355/700r4 and If he's probably still useing the 15x7 Centerline Terminator rims on the rear that he used for the drag test of the car. If you know someone that has a subcription of Chevy High Performace then they might be able to show you. Its in there all the time, Ive got almost every pic of it cut out and saved (too bad I don't have a scanner to show the car
. Don't know too much about the flames though, thats new to me if thats what they've done with the car now??? It does have an Edelbrock TES exhaust system since they're in Cali and Flowmaster cat back. here's a link to the build up. later http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/projectbuild/48198/
