dual cats worth it?

I'm sure this question has been asked many times, but i would like responses more specific to my application.

I currently have a 355 with edelbrock rpm heads, comp cams 280H, weiand dual plane, and a q-jet.

The exhaust is currently hedman 1 5/8 shorties into 2 1/4 in pipes into a 3" single into a 3" magnaflow cat, into a flowmaster 3" catback.

Would a dual cat system be worth much power, especially with the cam i'm running?

What do you guys think?

I just switched from a dual cat to a single set-up, I actually felt alittle more get-up-and go with the single cat. A stock dual cat set-up is worth $250+. Is it worth spending that much money on 10hp? Maybe switch from 21/4" pipe to 21/2" pipe. I've got an Edelbrock system from headers to exhaust tip, 21/2" pipe from the headers to a 3" slip-fit hi flow cat to a 3" I-pipe. My opinion is stay with a single catalytic.

the setup u have seems very free flowing and the one 3 inch high flow car is just as good as 2 2 1/1 inch high flow cats, or so i have heard.

but stock wise dual cats was alittle better than the stock single cat factory systems, but in aftermarket its anyone's game.
