Dynomax Bullets...
Just noticed they list these mufflers as race only. I want to setup a true dual system and having a straight through muffler will make things easier. Are these things street legal? If not are thier any other that are just about the same thing and have the same performance value? Thanks.
EDIT:
Also, I meant to ask, would it be a good idea to go dual exhaust using an LT1 and some 3" headers? Or will I not see too much performance gain? If so i'll have the dual exhaust wait until I can purchase the LT4 conversion.

I have a pair on the '57. They flow as well as the Warlocks uncorked did that they replaced.
They're loud enough that I don't ever get on it when driving on the street, and some racing buddies asked me if I even had mufflers on it when racing in a mufflers-required class.
Some Summit 3" ovals are going on this winter (compliments of Santa).

Using a cross over pipe seems to make any system quieter at WOT. A pair of 2.5 inch bullets with an x-pipe is not to unbearably loud. But not real quite either.
I have a pair of thrush glass packs on mine and it is borderline at WOT. If I wanted to though there is enough room to stack another couple of em and it would probably be much quieter. The Thrush glass packs are a much better design than the old ones with the louvered tube and have pretty high flow values. And they are around 20 bucks a piece. And are pretty skinny so they give great ground clearance.
