I am ordering headers and a Y pipe before spring this year, and I already have a 3" flowmaster catback.

My 80 series muffler is 3" in, 2.5" Out. I like my car with the exhaust pipes not showing, but the STOCK tips are on the muffler and they seem kinda skinny. You think its robbing me of any power?

i don't think so, but i do think that the crossflow design isn't as good as say, the single in single out design. which also has a hidden 3" pipe.

i was just saying maybe with different tips it might make the tone alittle different, but for how short the stock tips are now i am thinking the sound might not change all that much either.

You'll never be fast with those 2 1/2" tailpipes. Now, dual 5" out, that's a different story, you'd be making all kinds of power.
