Hooker 2055 question
Does the hooker 2055 fit on no TPI systems. I want to put the system(headers and Y pipe) on my 1984 Trans Am. My trans am has a quadrajet. What is so different about the TPI? Will it fit on my car? Please any help would be appretiated.

Then why do they say it only works from 1986 and up. Will I run into some unexpected problems or is hooker just being an ***?

No, they're responding to customers who have been asses.
They make the headers to bolt directly to factory systems of the applications listed. The headers will, however, bolt to any factory SBC engine, will route properly in the frame, and if you get replacement parts for the same application they list, will bolt to the cat & cat back.
I had to reroute the A.I.R. on the driver's side, since the factory system has the hose routed over the front of the engine with the check valve inlet pointed forward. That's the only installation issue I had.

That should be the only problem.

I was under the impression that the 2055s didn't come with AIR. I have seen pictures of them, fresh out of the box, with out them. Am I missing something? Considering I just ordered them from ACS it would be a good thing to know.
