dynomax bullets same as ?

Is the dynomax bullet muffflers about the same as the chambered mufflers by Stainless Works? They're both in the Summit catalog.

From the description of the Bullets they are basically glass packs with a perforated tube instead of louvered. And there are other glass packs with this same design. But chambered mufflers use redirection of the exhaust gases instead of fiber glass packing. I don't know about the flow of the chambered mufflers but the bullets design is very good for flow as any glass pack that uses a straight throug perforated design that does not narrow any.

But be aware, many glass packs are still made with louvered tubes and they are very restrictive according to flow test.

I didn't see any fiberglass in the Bullets. The perforated inner tube is the same diameter as the inlet/outlet tube, unlike the "typical" glasspacks. I found no difference in performance, with extensively documented run data, from uncorked Warlocks vs. Bullets with 2-1/2" tailpipes hooked to the outlets (unlike the corked Warlocks going through the same 2-1/2" tailpipes, which consistently cost me almost 2 tenths).

The suckers are really loud (fellow racers looked under the car during mufflers-required races, just to be sure I was "legal"). I've been afraid to get on it at all when on the street to/from the track. This winter, 3" Summit Turbos are going in. If they don't flow quite as well as the Bullets - tough, I'm through hassling with uncorking/corking, differences between uncorked-allowed/mufflers-required databases, etc.

I've yet to hear a straight through tube style that is anywhere near quite at WOT. I Have thrush magnums and they are 25 inches long. And at part throttle and idle they are pretty decent. You can have a conversation at a normal voice. But at WOT it is probably as loud as an open exhaust.
