Would you buy this!?

For years I have struggled with wanting performance that is close to long tube headers with decent ground clearance but as everyone knows this product does not exists due to the 3" y-pipes that we get stuck with. I had a chance today to speak with the lead designer and test engineer at Hedman! I explained that since Hedman has one of the largest collectors on their shorty non-AIR headers (almost 3") that it seems silly that their y-pipe necks down to 3". I asked him if he would custom make or consider mass producing a y-pipe that followed stock routing and was dual 2.5" into a single 3.5" pipe. With a cut-out on the end of this pipe, the restriction problem would finally be solved! I assured him that many thirdgenners would be interested. I believe he will be watching for my post and I was hoping you could lend me your support. Would a set of 1 5/8" shorty non-AIR headers with 3" collectors and a y-pipe that is 3.5" at the outlet interest you?

Yes it would and I would ask to also make them with 1 3/4 primaries for guys with larger exhaust demands. the 3.5" collector may be overkill for only 1 5/8" primaries. This could the perfect header for LT1, 383, and 400 swap guys.

I certainly hope I am.
You appear to have been here long enough to know the track record of how things like this turn out.... 5in. 3pc spoiler, the notchback... just to name the most recent flops.
