If you want a loud good cheap muffler, v-force mufflers are the way to go. Flowmaster immatations and they sound great IMO. Right now i am have dual dynomax bullets, to loud, but what are you going to do when you have the power i have under da hood.

I had a V-Tech catback on my car and I found it annoyingly quiet and crappy sounding- I love my 3'' Flowmaster

and by V-Tech I mean V-Force it just sounds more like it belongs on a honda to me!

EWwwwww. Whenever I hear a 3rdgen cruise by with a cutoff muffler I cringe to myself and think "ewww, another ******* race car." There is possibly nothing more ******* sounding than a stock or near stock car with no muffler and a long pipe. Just ask EricFormula350

Spintechs over flowmaster always. LOL, Flowmaster, isn't that an oxymoron since they flow the WORST out of all the after market systems. Maybe they are the masters at a lack of flow, who knows....

I agree with parts of that because, a car with no muffler (nearly any car IMO) has a similar sound as that p.o.s., exhaust fell off 5 years ago, lord only knows how it's still running, smoking, 305 '76 scottsdale truck with the stakesides, overfilled, hauling junkmetal to the scrapyard sound.
But, that's just my take on no mufflers....

I put a set of Flowmaster 40 series cat-backs on my mainly stock 305 with an edelbrock TES. I love the sound, but it'll be even better when my 355 goes in (the sooner the better)!!!

What are we talking about here, maybe a 5-10hp difference between all the aftermarket cat-back systems. Oh well, I'll stick with my Floblocker until somebody gives me a better muffler.

You are NOT going to see decent gains from one chambered exhaust system to another on a stock thirdgen. Only differences are the systems with the straight through mufflers and the ones with chambered mufflers.

lol, I had some kid pacing me in his honda today and couldn't hear his car at all. Ahh, the Spintech does it's job again of drowning out the angry can of bees sound. He eventually cut in front of me after signaling for my turn.

$9.99 straight through cherry bomb. Thats is as loud and as cheap you can get. Without running no muffler.

ok now i know some sound like *** but mine didn't. i had 100% stock and had a 80 series flow and it sucked, too much backpressure, so i took it off.

stock mani...stock cat...no muffler

the only time it really sounded a little bad was WOT hitting like 5k

WOT up the road

i don't think it was that bad at all. now i have my headers, no cat and no muffler and that was a bit much. got complaints so i put a cherry bomb on and sounds sweet.

We were just talking about that in Engine D&R class the other day. Re-naming aftermarket mufflers "Louders"
