Hooker #2460 or Hedman #68470
I am looking to buy these headers now and need to see what the diff. between the two are. I've already done a search and came to the conclusion that the Hooker's are more popular... but why?
I'm getting them coated from ACS and the Hedmans are $204 and the Hookers $224 (plus $18 for O2 bung but I thought the 2460 already had one but the guy at ACS said no
)
Anyway, its still a screamin deal for some coated shorties and I can take my leakin' Flowtechs off (garbage).
PS, I already have a y-pipe made for my flowtechs from 3" pipe (not mandrel bent but figured the 3" pipe would offset this) so I should just be able to weld the 3" collectors on it.

Hookers or Heddmans either one of those are good. I'd think if your investing good $ in a set of good headers why not invest in a better y-pipe, you say its not mandel bent, i assume its a crimp bend.
When i purchased my heddman shorties i didnt get 3" collector reducers(3 bolt flanged extensions), so you might want to look into weither or not your getting some with the package, that and the wall thickness of the reducers is very thin, its about that of the factory exhaust tubing thats been aging for 13 years on the car. (the reducers i got were for 3" to 2" pipe thats
no one uses 2" pipe)
flowtechs=paperweights
Somebody should chime in a give their .02cents as to why hookers are better. From what i've seen, peeps say they have a tighter tolerance and fit better.
