Dynomax also makes some in different sizes and shapes for around 130. Magnaflow does as well.

You might as well burn your money, they do nothing

Both those brands suck ***

spend the extra money and get a rondom technologies one, they are the only ones really worth a damn

my .02 heard alot of stories about those doing NOTHING!

What do you mean "Doing nothing" I know carsound is the best on the flowbench, but the chemistry is nothing special. Every company can do it easy...why do they suck?

Well if the Catco is so bad why did I pass my Emission tests with it?? My .02 of opinion.

And what sucks is paying $300+ dollars for a Radom Tech Cat. Thats the way to burn money.

I just want one to mellow down my system i'm about to put on. Hedman headers and hooker catback. I live in MN so emissions testing is non-existant. I saw that summit sells a catco 3" in/out for about $46. If that will mellow it down a little, thats all i care about.

Those brands dont "suck ***" They are 2 of the best ones. Some people dont have $200 extra dollars to pay cat. You can almost get a damn catback for that

I've had really good luck with Carsound cats, they are made by Magnaflow anyways. I've got 2 cats here, 1 Carsound, 1 Magnaflow, and they are in the same boxes, except for the name. The part numbers are even the same.

I personally have had bad luck with Catco cats. I've had 3 either go bad, or fall apart on me. I'm not saying that Catco is bad, I've just not had good luck with them, and the guy that does my exhaust doesn't even stock them anymore, he will only go with Carsound/Magnaflows.

He sells them installed for under $100.

The Carsound and the MagnaFlow cats are the idenctical, well now at least. About 6 months ago the only difference was that the MagnaFlow had the polished mirror stainles steel, and the carsound was just aluminized.

If you want a "True" High Performance cat go with the Eastern Tru Performance Cat. There is a guy on ebay selling them for around $100 and they out flow Catco, MagnaFlow and Carsound. Not sure about the other one that was mentioned. They have 300 holes per sq. inch as opposed to the 400 holes per sq. inch like everyone else does, resulting in 8% less back pressure. This is what I'll be using on my RS once I get it driveable.

That's cool. I'm going to have a new X pipe with cats put on my daily driver, and I might have to try those. I've had the others before on different cars, and I'm always into trying to see what works, not what people say works, so I'd be willing to try them, I'd even set them up on the flowbench vs. the magnaflow/carsound just to see what the difference actually is.
