Welcome aboard.

It won't add any ponies. The only possible benefit from a performance standpoint is a reduction in weight.

And, of course, the removal of A.I.R. is an "off-road only" modification...

It won't really add any horsepower but it will definetely clear up some room in the engine compartment. You can also remove your washer fluid reservior for some more room. Removing the AC will really add some room, too. I just removed my smog pump and reservior last week and it was well worth it.

All you have to do is, remove the pump, remove all of the hoses and that big black box (I forget what it is called), remove the AIR tubes from the exhaust manifold, plug the holes with 1/4" pipe plugs, buy a new 96.8" 6-rib belt, reroute the belt, and you are done. It is pretty easy.

Of course, if you have emissions testing (or even an "visual inspection"), be prepared to fail especially the exhaust sniffer test. You may still pass, some do, but a lot fail. Just my two cents.

Have a Great Day!

i dont have emmisions testings, plus the car is getting hobbyist plates soon so i wont have to worry at all, plus when i did take it to emmisions it passed with flying colors.
