magnaflow???
Well...I think I am gonna get me a new exhaust system. I am thinking of getting a hi-flo Random Technology catalytic converter and a catback system. When I called for a quote they quoted me on a Magnaflow cat back exhaust, all mendrel bent 3" piping. Is this a good exhaust system?
Magnaflow does not make a cat back system for the 3rd gen however you can buy the 4th gen cat back and just buy the hangers to make it work for your car. I have that system and man does it sound and look great.
ill get some pics sunday im sure after seeing it alot of people will get it. Marandel bent 3inch pipe to a stainless muffler and two 31/2 stainless tips ending right at the end of the bumper.

Magnaflows do sound good. I thought about it before I settled on the Hooker setup.

Thats looks great. To bad I just went to summit today and bought a Dynomax cat-back. Maybe later I'll change the muffler and tailpipes to a Magnaflow.

Well right now I am running with no cat (GRRrrrr) and I think its a stock exaust. I heard a Magnaflow on my friend Dodge Dakota V8 318ci and it sounded real nice.
Sorry I was wrong about that cat back, its just the muffler that I am buying. I already have a brand new intermediate pipe I just need me a cat and a muffler. Mainly for now I need the cat cuz my car reeks of gas when I am driving...thinking the cat would prob clean that smell up a bit.

DETAILS?!?!? WE NEED DETAILS!
Hey, TOXINZ! Can you give us some specifics on your Magnaflow cat back system? Things like part numbers you used, specifics on what you had to do hang the 4th Gen cat-back, etc. On my 91 Formula I've got dual cats that Y together into the one large pipe with a circular clamp, then the large pipe goes on back over the axle and on to the muffler. Does this kit just start up where the large pipe mates onto the Y'ed together cat outputs? (sure hope so!)

alright ill try to explain as much as possible. The exhaust has to be specified as a fourth gen camaro

Good pic of the system

Then you will also need hangers. You will need two one for each side and 1 other which is small and is box like. I'll try and get another pic later. On my system the 3 inch pipe goes over the rear end then ends about a foot before the catalitic converter. To make my system work i had to get an adapter for i think 2 1/2 or 2 and a quarter to 3. so later i can just put a 3 inch y pipe on without hacking the exhaust and making it look like crap.. I have a friend who bought the same system as me after seeing it and to me looks very decent on a firebird as well. The tips stick out about 1/2 inch or so from the bumper but looks very good. i wish i had some pics but dont right now.
