I'm just a little confused

ok I've been reading through here and I have a few questions. first will the headers and the Y pipe that I assume comes with them bolt up without any problems? since I don't have to worry about emissions would it be reasonable to have a 3" collecter then the same size pipe all the way back to the muffler? my last question is would those same headers bolt up to 350 vortech heads?
thanks for any input. oh and check out my car on the detailing thred

You don't say what headers you are considering. But, there shouldn't be any problem if the headers/y-pipe are for '86-'90 TPI single-cat application.

I'm not really considering any brand at the moment, its just for future refrence. and its TBI not TPI, does that make a differance?
thanks

still a singe cat (well there used to be a cat) application though

If you want 3", get the TPI application parts. Otherwise, the y-pipe will be 2-1/4".
