to upgrade headers or not to upgrade?....
Allrighty my mobile is described in the sig. I have 1 1/2 flowtech headers and single 2 1/2 exhaust. ( I know this is killing me) because when i unhook the exhaust right after the y pipe I pick up 4-5 tenths at the track alone. Anyways I have the opertunity to pick up some coated 1 7/8 hooker super comp headers for 200$ cdn and my old headers. This sounds like a good deal to me. Is there anything that might bugger me up here, will these bolt onto my vortech heads, do they need an adapter plate or anything, and will they somewhat fit in there or will I have to grind away pieces of my car to make them fit. I was planning on having dual 3" exhaust ran straight back and dumped at the rear axle. Anyone have any guesses as to hp gaines, torque loss etc after this mod? I was also curious about spark plug clearance and stuff with these things. Any input is greatly apreciated thanks gang. Ohh ya I know someones gonna say these are prob way to big for my car, but I am saving up for a set of afr 210's soon, just wondering if i can get to them to fit before I get the heads later on in the year.

The sticky above ( https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=148210 ) will probably tell you more than you want to know.
Certainly get rid of those Flowtechs and the miniature exhaust system. Whether the Super Comps LT's are the way to go or not is a decision only you can make. 2055's with a 3" exhaust would make a huge difference, but how much the SC LT's w/dual exhaust would make over that - probably not nearly as much.
With adequate stall, you'll never notice any loss of torque.

That writeup was very helpfull. Does anyone know how much power they gained after the crappy header to good dual exhaust setup? some dyno numbers or 1/4 times before and after would be greatly appreciated. thnx
