Just curious if anyone is running vortes heads and the hooker 2055s. Does the y-pipe fit ok, or does it need to be modded? Just curious because I'm interested in getting the y-pipe coated as well, but if it needs to be modded, I probably won't.
My hedman y-pipe needed an extension piece welded in when I did the swap last year, but the pipe also took a little abuse in the downtime.

don't see why it would, isn't vortec heads just like any other sbc head as far as exhaust port? are the taller or something?

I'm not sure. Last time, the y-pipe had to be cut and welded. But that may have been partiall because I let that portion of the exhaust hang free and snagged it on a couple of places while moving the car around. I knew I was going to need to change my exhaust though.
