restricted?

right now im running dynomax headers (1.5") modded hedman Y pipe to work with the dynomaxs (2.25" downtubes to 2.5") and a 3" high flow cat. i feel like this setup was probably sufficient when the engine was stock but now im looking into a cam, porting the heads and a few other things so im thinking ill have outgrown this header setup witht he new mods. i was thinking i should get some new hooker or hedman 1 5/8s with a new Y pipe as well. but i figured id ask if its worth it, should i stick with what i have or upgrade? if im gonna loose significant power with what i got then i should upgrade, but if the difference is going to be like 5hp then forget it. what do u guys think?

since the exhaust is one of the more restrictive things on these cars, so on another hand it may be benificial to change them esp. if you plan on more mods, like porting heads or intake, id prob port the intake while it was off anyow.

The exhaust you have now will suffice. You will really benifit from larger than 1.5" primaries once you get past 300hp range. I don't know if changing headers right now would be worth the price and effort.

As long as the rest of the exhaust is up to par, they wont hold ya back no more than a few ponies. So you could stay with them.
