dual exhaust infront of f and r tires...

I know some people have made their exhausts so the tips are in front of the tires. I'm thinking of doing this but have some questions first. Does the car sound louder because the exhaust isn't as long and the mufflers are underneath you, and is it to loud for people in the car? Also because the exhaust is shorter does it affect the hp you can gain by putting in a nice exhaust? Any answers would be awesome. Thanks!

It will be a little louder, because its a little shorter. Not too much different though. The HP difference would be less than a noticeable one.

Most people do it for the look, or so they can say they have side pipes There is really almost no difference between side exhaust and duals out the back (performance wise).

Its generally a thing of looks at the expense of ground clearance.
