Heddman torque-step??
Hey guys I want some long tube headers but I'm not to interested in the hooker super comps cause of the cost and the the fitment I have heard of. I was wondering if anyone has some hedman torque step headers on there car or any other type of long tube header and how they liked them. I have Vortec heads and they had straight plugs and only one option that i know of and thats an autolit 605 so I need somthing that has some plug clearance, I have edelbrock tes on there now but its the TBI setup and I think its chokin me out real bad. THanks for the input guys

The TES themselves aren't choking you. If you used the TBI y-pipe, cat, and on back, that's a choke.
It wouldn't be any more work to cut the "Y" off the downpipes, put in a 3" outlet "Y", mandrel bends, and 3" cat on back than it would be to install long tubes. The power benefit of long tubes over such modifications to the TES would be negligible.

well the car is becoming more of a weekend/ drag car, So I wanted more of a serious exhaust system to suppoort future mods. My plans where to get some heddman long tube headers and put some 2 1/2in cutouts off the headers and havbe a y-pipe made from them to my 3in I pipe. Now I know that heddman sells longtube headers for our cars but I am not sure what ones to get cause it seems most are shorty headers. Is it the ones they sell for around $150?? thanks guys, Here is a link to someone that has them..
